They built their own task app because the existing options did not meet their needs and said they would rather support a project from a passionate developer.

They described wanting an interface very similar to Google Tasks, but with project statistics inspired by Google Fit's visual style. That is the specific suggestion this concept is based on.
Their separate suggestion about adding a notes widget to NottalyX is intentionally not mixed into this project concept.
